Abstract

Gamma-radiation, a powerful DNA-damaging agent, can often lead to the formation of genome rearrangements. In this study, we have assessed the capacity of Escherichia coli to accurately reassemble its genome after multiple double-strand DNA breaks introduced by gamma-radiation.
