Abstract
Generalized parton distributions (GPDs), studied now for two decades, offer a unique window into three dimensional structure of hadrons as they combine features of form factors, parton densities and distribution amplitudes. Deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) and deeply virtual meson production (DVMP) belong to a class of hard exclusive processes that allow access to GPDs from experimental measurements. In this lecture a short introduction to GPDs will be given with emphasis on the analysis and informations obtainable from DVCS and DVMP.
