Abstract

A possible extension of Zagreb indices to weighted graphs representing heterosystems is presented. It is based on the novel definition of the Zagreb indices by way of the here introduced Zagreb matrices. A theorem is given that is valid for the first Zagreb index of strongly weighted graphs.
