Abstract

Metal corrosion is a serious issue, especially in light of its negative consequences on the economy, ecology, and public health, thus research on corrosion prevention has received much attention. The majority of commercial inhibitors are expensive and extremely harmful to both people and the environment. Some compounds, such as plant extracts, biopolymers, amino acids, and medicines were explored as green inhibitors due to heightened worries about the usage of dangerous inhibitors and rigorous regulatory requirements. Researching corrosion inhibitors under various conditions (environment, temperature, pollution, etc.) can enable the selection of an eco-friendly, cost-effective corrosion inhibitor for a particular environment.
