Abstract

The chapter is devoted to the synthesis of zeolite materials in an accent on the nano zeolites. After a general introduction of zeolite materials, the factors controlling zeolite nucleation and growth are addressed. This information is further used to discuss the key issues related to the synthesis of nano zeolites. A comprehensive analysis of the different nano zeolites synthesis methods is performed, and the synthesis – properties relationship is addressed. The physicochemical properties of (nano) zeolites are discussed in light of their practical uses. The chapter also includes an overview of the current and potential applications of zeolites. The review is completed with an outlook of the field and the prospects for (nano) zeolites.
