Abstract
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is a major part of the central nervous system (CNS) extracellular fluid, and fine regulation of its composition is vital to the brain’s health. Despite over a hundred years of CSF dynamics study, many of its aspects are still insufficiently understood. It seems that today there are two concepts (1, 2) of CSF physiology: a) traditional hypothesis and b) microcirculatory/microvessel hypothesis.
